Our Leadership

JoyceBarrow-
Henderson

As Joe Louis’s daughter, Joyce Barrow-Henderson is deeply passionate about continuing her father’s legacy. With over 30 years of experience in the Parks & Recreation and Youth Development Departments for the City of Las Vegas, she has dedicated her career to fostering community engagement and youth development.

Additionally, as a mother to a son with autism, Joyce has a personal commitment to advocacy, education, inclusion, and awareness for individuals with developmental disabilities.

This passion led to the creation of the Champ Kindness curriculum and the Heroes for Heroes event—initiatives that exemplify her dedication to supporting underserved and vulnerable communities. Her leadership has been marked by innovative program development, strategic planning, and a steadfast commitment to inclusivity and civic pride. She brings this wealth of experience and passion to the Foundation, driving its mission forward to create lasting opportunities for underserved communities
